Dr. Andy Barseghyan is an Armenian native and is fluent in English, Russian, and Armenian. His first dental degree (Doctor of Stomatology) he received in Armenia in 2002, where he also attended a prosthodontic residency. After moving to the United States, Dr. Barseghyan earned his second dental degree (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from University of Colorado Denver. He graduated dental school with honors from Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After completing dental school, he received specialty training in endodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also earned his master of science degree. During his residency, Dr. Barseghyan conducted research related to the implementation of advanced imaging technology (Cone Beam Computed Technology/3D imaging) in endodontic microsurgery.
Dr. Andy Barseghyan is an active member of American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, and Illinois Association of Endodontists. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, biking, kayaking and traveling with his wife, Diana, and his daughter, Monica.
