Dr. Cristina Olarov was born in Romania, and she received her doctorate of dental surgery degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s College of Dentistry in the city of Timisoara. After completing one year of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship and two years of General Practice Residency in her home city, she followed her husband to the United States.
Continuing her passion for dentistry, Dr. Olarov completed two years of Advance Standing Degree Program/International Dentist Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was elected a member of Sigma Chapter Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society, the highest honor a dental student can attain. Due to her high academic achievement, Dr. Olarov was also the 2010 recipient of the Dr Robert Savage Award and the Astra Implant Award.
Dr. Olarov worked as a general dentist in a private office in Oak Lawn, Illinois before she returned to the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry for her post-doctorate specialty training in endodontics.
Dr. Olarov, a Board Certified Endodontist, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists, and also a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Illinois Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
In addition to her clinical engagement, due to her enthusiasm for endodontics, Dr. Olarov also volunteers as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the College of Dentistry, University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Olarov lives in Naperville, Illinois with her husband and three daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and listening to classical music.
