Zainab Aziz

Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Zainab Aziz’s early years laid the foundation for her commitment to academic excellence and her passion for dental healthcare. Loyola University, a premier institution in New Orleans, witnessed her dual academic pursuits as she completed her undergraduate studies in Journalism and Biology. This unique combination of disciplines later allowed her to seamlessly merge her roles in Medical and Dental journalism with her academic pursuits. 

With an unwavering focus on her professional aspirations, Dr. Aziz pursued and earned her Doctorate degree from the renowned Marquette School of Dentistry. However, her quest for specialized knowledge did not stop there. She furthered her education at the esteemed Henry M. Goldman School of Dentistry at Boston University. Here, she received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics, a testament to her dedication to her specialty. 

In terms of professional affiliations, Dr. Aziz is an active member of several esteemed dental organizations. She holds memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. Additionally, she is part of the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, a reflection of her commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest in endodontic research and techniques. 

Away from the world of Endodontics, Dr. Aziz’s diverse interests paint a vivid picture of her as an individual. She has a penchant for reading, which perhaps fuels her insatiable curiosity. Her love for hiking speaks to her adventurous spirit, while her passion for dancing showcases her artistic side. Traveling is yet another dimension of her personality, reflecting her openness to explore and embrace various cultures. Above all, Dr. Aziz cherishes moments spent with her family. The joyous times with her husband and their toddler son are testament to the balance she maintains between her professional commitments and personal life.
