Surgical endodontics: apicoectomy

Dental anatomy can be very tricky….In this case, we decided to take a surgical approach to endodontic therapy as opposed to non-surgical endodontic therapy. The cause of failure was an entirely untreated canal. Once addressed, this patient was on the fast track to healing! At our 6 month recall exam, this patient remained symptom free and complete bony healing was evident! Our team of endodontists, after all, are “specialists in saving teeth!
